Cherished Victorian Lace Garter

Product Description

Tossing the garter is a tradition dating back to 14th century France. It was believed that sections of the bridal attire would bring good fortune. At the wedding, the bride would throw the garter to the assmebled guests and shower the recipient with good luck. Now it is customary for the groom to remove the garter and toss it to a group of unmarried men. The catcher is thought to be the next to be married.
